JOANA NOBRE: YOUR BODY IS A TEMPLE
Treat it Accordingly

DEEP FASCIA MASSAGE THERAPY
The Fascial System is a three dimensional connective tissue web that covers, surrounds and supports every muscle, organ, joint and nerve within the body. Fascia is alive and changing according to the bodys demands. Myofascial release is a hands on whole body approach to treating somatic dysfunction and accompanying pain and restriction of motion caused by fascial strain. This is accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation, increasing venous and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia. When the structure of the body has been returned to a balanced state then optimum pain-free function and performance is the outcome.
Some of the conditions treated include:
Lower back and pelvic pain
Headaches/Migraine
Neck and shoulder pain
Hip and knee pain
Poor posture
Sciatica

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
There are lots of similarities between Chinese Acupressure and Trigger Point Therapy. Trigger point causes the pain and discomfort in any specific part of the body and results in the patient’s complaint. The pain refers to other muscle/s and bringing in muscle disturbances for one muscle or even elsewhere in the body.

RESPIRATORY REHABILITATION| PRANAYAMA
When it comes to coping with stress overload, your breath is one of the best remedies there is—and it's free!
Sooner or later, most of us feel a little depressed or anxious, and certainly all of us know what it's like to feel tired. There are many different ways of treating these feelings, from exercise to meditation, from medication to a healthy nutrition. But you may not realize that you have a safe, effective, and inexpensive remedy right at hand for each of these conditions. What is this magical elixir? Your own breath.
As yogis have known for centuries—and as medical science is beginning to discover—the breath has amazing recuperative powers. By controlling the breath (a practice called Pranayama), it wss found, it could alter the state of mind. The three pranayama practices engages what scientists call the parasympathetic nervous system, a complex biological mechanism that calms and soothes us.

CUPPING THERAPY
Benefits of Cupping:
Relaxation: suction cups provide a negative pressure on the skin, muscles, and fascia. This is in contrast to the positive pressure of the deep tissue massage, and can be a very relaxing and soothing experience.
Promotes blood circulation speeds up muscle recovery. The negative pressure from the suction allows
new blood to flow
into that area of tissue with several benefits -
1. Provides a feeling of
relief from physical and emotional tensions
2. Begins the
healing and regeneration process
- the exchange of blood allows the removal of toxins and dead cells
3.
Enhances circulation
4. Warms the skin, and softens tissues to regain elasticity
5. Reduces inflammation
